The One Where It All Came Together

Eye to Eye with Your Artist

I couldn’t be prouder of this session. I really really love the results. If you like this session then we see eye to eye and I will be a good choice as a photographer for you. If you read my blog posts, (is anyone reading this?) you may remember my suggestions for selecting a photographer. If you didn’t get a chance to read that article, then I would recommending popping over there, it will be really helpful. Photographers are not all the same, we don’t possess the same level of skill, talent, or vision. Make sure you choose one that sees eye to eye with you. This session is a combination of the perfect time of year, a terrific location, and one beautiful girl who dressed well! Meet Jayme. I met her around age ten or eleven when I started a relationship with her family as a photographer! I love my wonderful clients and this family is so terrific and kind!

Why It Works

I love this session, not only is Jayme naturally beautiful, with her long lovely hair, but she dresses well. One of the best ways to get really great senior portraits is selecting the right wardrobe. I recommend at least three outfits that are flattering, fit well, and demonstrate your personality. Jayme chose three outfits. She had two casual outfits, and a dress up outfit. As you can see, we have plenty of time for multiple clothing changes during our senior session. She followed my senior portrait dressing suggestions perfectly. You can read all about it in my senior styling tip article. Jayme’s choices ensured that she had a successful portrait session. For her first outfit, a little black dress is always smart, simple and easily accessorized. She chose to pair the sweetheart neckline with a delicate chain and bracelets, and a pair of black low top converse sneakers. The second outfit was blue jeans, a white t-shirt, an iconic Pacific Northwest Flannel and white converse sneakers. The final outfit change was a quick removal of the flannel replaced by a chunky Fall colored button up short waisted cardigan sweater.
