The One by the River

Meet Aaron

It was such a blast putting together a session for Aaron’s senior portraits. He is a fellow photographer so he appreciates good light and a great location! We had a little creative fun with this session, scroll to the bottom for the zombie hunter photoshop fun image.

The Right Fit

If you like this session then we see eye to eye and I will be a good choice as a photographer for you. If you read my blog posts, (is anyone reading this?) you may remember my suggestions for selecting a photographer. If you didn’t get a chance to read that article, then I would recommending popping over there, it will be really helpful. Photographers are not all the same, we don’t possess the same level of skill, talent, or vision. Make sure you choose one that sees eye to eye with you.

Why It Works

It works because this is a great location. Photographing by the river provides a serene and picturesque backdrop for creating stunning images. The natural beauty of the water, surrounding greenery, and the play of light can add depth and interest to your photos. The reflective surface of the river can also enhance the overall composition of the shot, adding a sense of tranquility and calmness to the scene. Additionally, the river can serve as a dynamic element in your photographs, whether you're capturing long exposure shots of moving water or incorporating it as a leading line in your composition. Overall, photographing by the river offers a unique and visually appealing setting that can help elevate the quality of the image.

Chose Your Wardrobe

One of the best ways to get really great senior portraits is selecting the right wardrobe. I recommend at least three outfits that are flattering, fit well, and demonstrate your personality. As you can see, we have plenty of time for multiple clothing changes during our senior session. Aaron followed my senior portrait dressing suggestions perfectly. You can read all about it in my senior styling tip article. His choices ensured that he had a successful portrait session.
