If you have booked a senior portrait session with me, there is an opportunity to add on this great session during your booking! You an even book the session with friends, which is so much fun!

Why Do it?

Because it’s a right of passage and preserving this memory is important. Booking ahead will give you a trial run, allow for relaxed and fun images while you are still excited about the future possibilities. On the day of your graduation you will be worn out from all that pomp and circumstance. You’ll get photos on the actual day of your graduation and they will be dull and boring. Booking a cap and gown session prior to your ceremony will allow you enjoy your graduation day without having to worry about getting great photographs or finding your friends on all the chaos. You deserve to mark this occasion and celebrate all of your achievements! THIS IS A BIG DEAL and a major milestone for you!

Prepping for Your Session

There are couple of decisions to be made with this session including the location and accessories. For the location, you can choose an outdoor location, your home, or your high school. As far as accessories, don’t forget to bring your cords, pins, medals and tassels. You can also bring your kindergarten graduation photo, lawn signs, flower leis, and meaningful items from your heritage or culture.

Once the decisions are made, don’t forget to prep your cap and gown. The gown will come folded and very wrinkled. Before your session, make sure you hang the gown and use one of the following methods to remove the wrinkles. You should avoid ironing the gown as it may melt, you can steam it with a hand steamer or hang it in a steamy shower.
