“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” – Maya Angelou.

When I consider this quote only one thing comes to mind. A quote from Elizabeth Stone. “Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” My breathless moments would seem ordinary to someone else.  When I look into the eyes of my precious children, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and unbelievable love. When I consider that they were created for this time and placed in the arms of their dad and me, I feel incredibly blessed! Perhaps this interpretation is a bit of a stretch but that’s how I see it. I consider this project a way to stretch myself creatively as an artist.  On most of my projects, I try very hard to create something that excites my client.   For these images, I wanted to break from my own signature and do something completely out of my comfort zone!
